SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 12, 2017 – GI Partners, a leading private investment firm, announced that is has completed the acquisition of 14200 Shady Grove Road, located along “DNA Alley” near Rockville, Maryland. The acquisition was made through DataCore, L.P. ("DataCore"), a fully discretionary core real estate fund managed by GI Partners on behalf of The California State Teachers' Retirement System ("CalSTRS").

The property, developed in 2003 and recently renovated, comprises 635,000 square feet of Class A office and laboratory space and serves as a global vaccine research and development center for GlaxoSmithKline.
